Morning Everyone,

Thanks for all the messages of support. Hugely appreciated.

Neil was taken off Life Support last night at about 2245. Nature will now undeniably take its course. Obviously, this being Neil we're talking about, it is taking longer than the Medical staff anticipated. That is why he's still alive in the next room.

Sadly though, the conclusion is inevitable and my big brother, Mum's eldest and Shelley's (almost) Husband, will go to another place where the track is always dry and grippy, corners have loads of run-off, the sailing conditions are always fabulous, the Guinness is free and always good, and British Bikes run perfectly all the time with no leaks. And he'll still be annoyed about it.

I'm sorry to have to tell you it is just a matter of time now.

Please think a happy thought of Neil today and many times in the future. You know he'll be mad as hell if you don't.

As I said before, I'll let you know the inevitable ending to this sorry saga after it happens.

Keep thinking of him.

To Felix, Shelley & Family. We know that no words will help the pain you are all feeling now. We are not the god bothering types but have spent a lot of time praying for Neil's recovery since we heard the news last week. The world will be a much poorer place with out him but we have to be glad to have had the honour of knowing him and being a friend. Enjoy your Guiness on the other side mate in the place where you manage to finish a race without your bike breaking, you can go to a rally where the beers free and it doesnt rain and the place where the sailing conditions are always spot on. But look out, one day we'll be chasing you on our Vespa's!! Will miss you so much. Darren & Wendy, Colchester Deviants Scooter Club. PS - if there is anything at all we can do, please do ask. Phil, Annette etc have our number.

Neil,

i only just joined the biking fraternity and i didnt think the rules were 1 in 1 out!!
I'd hoped to be able to share your knowledge and experiences with a better understanding but alas it would appear this is not to be.....shame really because if you'd seen me riding you'd have known i need all the help i can get. I guess the best I can hope for now is that you'll be watching from your pole position.....and probably having a little chuckle at the sights before you!

May you rest in peace Neil

Neil,

You will never be forgotten, and many happy thoughts will be thought of you every day, not least because of all the happy memories you have given to other people...

The big beard and even bigger grin are legendary and that legend will contune long after we are robbed of your presence.

Take care my friend and enjoy the beer, riding and sailing in that better place.

To Shelly and all of Neil's family - I can only extend my sincere condolences. If there is anything you need or anything that can be done to help at this or any other time please don't hesitate to contact me.

All that I can say is that I am really sorry and know how difficult it is to deal with at the moment, the loss of a great bloke, as I lost my mum suddenly in September and this shock has set me back alot today. Don't be afraid as you know Neil has gone to a better place where the sun shines (you know who this is, Shelley as "I won't go if it rains"), and the roads are the best for biking. If there is anything, however small or stupid, that I can do, please let me know.
