Evening All,
Thanks to everyone for all the messages, both text and on this site. It shows the effect Neil has had on everyone's lives - and such a lot of lives at that.
The Funeral will be on Tuesday 20th November. More details to follow.
Shelley and I have had a chat this evening and thought we would pop down to the Yachtsman's Arms in Brightlingsea tomorrow night (Friday) to raise a pint (or maybe two) to the memory of Neil. Anybody that would like to join us is more than welcome. We thought we'd make a start around 9ish (PM!) and would be delighted to see you. If you don't know Brightlingsea that well see below for a link to a map.
For anyone that can't make it tomorrow we will have a drink after the funeral but I will be able to give you more detail on that after the weekend.
The enormity of the situation still has not sunk in. I'm sure you feel the same. Sorry, but I can't really say much more yet. I guess we'll all swap daft tales tomorrow night and that will help us all.
Never forget him.

Neil was one of the nicest people I ever met and I have some very fond memories of him, especially at the Condom Rally, with which he had been involved for some years. I am sure that everyone who met him at the rally and other places will remember his enthusiasm and his sense of humour, and his committment to all he wanted to do. You could always guarantee that if you wanted a sensible discussion about anything, that Neil would come out with something utterly daft. There is a gathering of the Condom Rally committee and anyone else who would like to come along, at the Odd One Out, Mersea Road, Colchester, on Monday 12/11/07, at 8pm. All welcome to have a pint (or several) for Neil.
Due to the kind of person Neil was, I can honestly say that I will never forget him.

Plan to see you there. I know i speak for a lot of people when i say that the blog has been a great idea and you are a very strong person for being able to do this and keep us all informed whilst you are going through so much pain. Thinking of you all at this terrible time. Will raise a glass or two to Neil later, just as he would have wanted us to. Wendy & Darren
It was a privilage to fight alongside Neil. It was a joy to see him handle the Sae Wylfing.

Fare well Friend.

It was with great sadness that we heard of the loss of Neil. There are no words that con convey....
So very sorry
We will remember him as one of the worlds decent men. It was always a pleasure to see him, talk to him and play rock and roll for him.
